Imagine working hard all of your life to be the best, getting to be the best, and having your dream of going to the Olympics STOLEN by corrupt judging and fight fixing. Well, imagine how Nia Abdallah feels after having what should have been a 10-0 victory awarded to her opponent 0-1. If you think this is just a bad call or two, watch the video, especially the "sudden death" overtime.
In the United States, we learn that with hard work, honesty and dedication, you can achieve anything. But when powerful, old-fashioned fight fixing happened before our eyes in determining who goes to the Olympics, hundreds of Americans have expressed their outrage, and are demanding answers from the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the House Judiciary Committee, who oversees the USOC.
When you watch the video and if you feel the same, please write your Congressman and the USOC (john.ruger@usoc.org).
Even experts, independent masters and grandmasters have spoken out against this outrageous, blatant decision. Read the press release here.
